“Excellent security” is the rating awarded to the QIVICON Smart Home platform by the independent IT security test company AV-TEST GmbH. The platform provides secure communication and a high level of protection from unauthorized access, and thereby prevents manipulation by third parties, the testers found. QIVICON not only provides comprehensive protection from cybercriminals but is also extending its offering to provide protection from real live intruders. Together with heating control provider Junkers and building automation company provedo, security firm DOM is a new partner in the QIVICON Smart Home platform.
The DOM Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of locking technology and electronic access systems. Its product portfolio ranges from practical security systems for private homes to electronic access control systems for large facilities.
“We are proud to be a member of the QIVICON platform and its partner community and look forward to a successful future,” comments Erik Mastenbroek, Group Marketing Director, DOM Sicherheitstechnik GmbH & Co. KG.
Along with offers that improve security, customers are particularly interested in heating control solutions such as offered by new QIVICON partner Junkers, Bosch Group. They include efficient and resource-conserving heating and hot water solutions such as gas- and oil-fired appliances, solar power installations and heat pump solutions.
“QIVICON is a good match for the Junkers’ philosophy of offering simple, intuitive heating technology solutions for connected homes. In the future, QIVICON will enable home owners to control their Internet-ready Junkers heating system via not only the JunkersHome app but also the comprehensive QIVICON Smart Home platform,” states Andreas Schmidt, Sales Director, Junkers Germany.
